When your twins become more wiggly or are rolling over (usually between 6 weeks and 3 months), separate them into two cribs to avoid the risk of suffocation and to keep them from waking each other.

There are some specialty options for double cribs for twins, although they may be more expensive and harder to obtain. Yes, you get these cribs at some stores near you!

Your babies’ Safety is very important. Furniture needs to be secured to the wall so that it doesn’t topple over on your babies.

Make sure it is non-toxic paint and it will be strong enough for you’re baby’s weight. You should also look for something with enough storage! You’ll want to keep all baby stuff handy and easily accessible. …

3. Two Bouncer Seats

A bouncer seat for each twin should be an absolute must-have for them! They will love it! We all know it is always fun for babies to sit or try to walk even if they can’t yet!

Anyway, this will be a great place to sit them for bottle feedings, to read books to them, for short naps, when you need to go to the bathroom, and even while you cook dinner!

Unlike a large bassinet or portable Playard,  bouncers can easily be taken into the kitchen, bathroom, porch, yard, or anywhere else you want to go.

Warning: Never be tempted to put your baby bouncer on an elevated surface such as a worktop or table. Babies have been known to bounce them right off the edge.

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Healthy Children website recommended always moving your child to a crib or bed with a flat, firm surface as soon as they fall asleep in a swing, car seat, or bouncer to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome(SIDS)

4. Diaper bag

A diaper bag is a perfect spot to store everything you need for your baby in one place when you’re out and about.

It’s a must-have for toting diapers and wipes, of course, but other necessities like a change of clothes, extra pacifiers, bottles, and a toy or two.

With twins, you may need to choose a bigger diaper bag, or probably two! With more than one baby in tow, you will need twice the gear!

5. Baby Monitor

Baby-MonitorIf you are worried about your baby and want to check in on her from time to time without disturbing her and risking waking her up then you’ll definitely need a baby monitor. This device offers you an extra ear and eye in your baby’s room.

With your two precious bundles in the same room, a single monitor should be enough. However, if you are going to use separate rooms, then it’s a whole different story. You will either need two separate baby monitors or you may need to purchase two or more cameras that work with your monitor.

6. Double Stroller

Double strollers are absolutely worth it for your twins! And since a lot of strollers are now designed to grow with your kids, they can make a good investment, too!

These strollers are a great option if you want to keep an eye on both children at once, especially if they’re in the early infancy stage. It is a  helpful product to have!

Most strollers often fold down more compactly and are therefore usually more convenient for travel. Some strollers feature storage pockets, harnesses, and even snack trays for convenience.

7. Boppy Pillow

A Boppy Pillow makes a great tool to help young ones stay propped up in a sitting position before they have the core strength to sit fully on their own.

Even after their muscles have developed, the Boppy is still helpful to place around them as a cushion in the event they get tired and fall over. You’ll definitely need two of these pillows!

Never place your baby to sleep on pillows or other soft surfaces. Do not use a boppy pillow in a crib, cradle, bassinet, playpen, play yard, or bed.

When using the boppy pillow do not leave the baby unattended, adult supervision is always required. The health and safety of your baby are very important.

The Boppy Pillows are products that should only be enjoyed for awake time only. The Newborn Boppy Pillow is designed as a safe place to put a baby while he or she is supervised and awake.

8. Playpen or Play Yard

Play yards and playpens for twins can be very useful for parents who have little “Bees” in the house, especially two! They need a safe and comfortable place, while awake.

A playpen is a piece of furniture in which an infant or young toddler is placed to prevent self-harm when her/his parent or guardian is occupied or away.

You occasionally need somewhere safe to place your babies for a short period of time. In these situations, a playpen can be really useful.

A playpen for twins or a play yard may be the best temporary babysitter for your little ones while you cook, eat or prepare something for them.

The ideal age for children to use a playpen or play yard is 6-8 months because your twins are moving. They can roll over, grasp toys, etc. In general, they are  little busy “bees”

9. Two Safe Infant Car Seats

Baby-Car-SeatsYou’ll need two car seats for your twins. The first type of car seat you will want for your twins is designed specifically for infants.

Using a car seat, also called a child safety seat, is the best way to protect your kids when they’re in a car.

Car crashes are one of the leading causes of death and injury for children. Because car seats save lives, using a car seat is the law in every U.S. state.

For the best protection, keep your babies in a rear-facing car seat for as long as possible

10. Baby Wraps Or Carriers

If you want to go anywhere and have two free hands while carrying your twins, a baby carrier for twins is your best option. Having a comfortable twin carrier is essential as the parent of twins.

A stretchy wrap is an ideal way to carry two newborn twins, even premature and low birth weight babies. Make sure you are using the correct wrap style for the carrier, as stretchy and woven wraps work and act differently.

Wraps can typically be used with newborns up until your child is 18 months old, although parents get the most use out of them in the first several months.
